As I write this, we are on our way to Kansas for Christmas trying to beat a big snow storm and there is snow all around us on the ground already, but that isn't nearly as exciting as the morning we woke up to snow in Texas the beginning of December. Precipitation was in the forcast for that day but they really weren't predicting snow so it caught us by surprise! The kids were super excited and ran around outside in their PJs before we had to head out for school. It was a heavy, wet snow but by mid-morning it was all gone because the ground temperatures were still warm. It was a fun surprise for us and helped get us in the Christmas mood!
